On Sunday, the New York Giants visit the Windy City and Soldier Field to play the Chicago Bears. New York is looking to bounce back from a disappointing 26-16 loss in Week 1 to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football. The Giants were defeated by the Bears 19-14 in 2019 at this same venue and look to put that behind them with a victory on Sunday.
Chicago returns from the Motor City full of confidence as the Bears rallied from a 17-point 2nd half deficit to defeat the Detroit Lions Week 1 and will be looking to make it 2-0 with a victory at home on Sunday over the Giants. The Bears could be fresher than the Giants as New York had to play a tough game on Monday against the Steelers while the Bears played Sunday.

Mistakes Hurt Giants Against Steelers
The New York Giants made too many mistakes on Monday Night Football in their loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Quarterback Daniel Jones threw for 279 yards and a pair of touchdowns but was picked off twice including at the goal line when the Giants were driving to score and potentially take the lead. Running back Saquon Barkley had 15 carries but gained just six yards against a tough Steelers' defense. Barkley also caught six passes for 60 yards out of the backfield. The top receiver for the Giants was Darius Slayton with six receptions for 102 yards and two touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Giants held their own. New York gave up 229 yards passing to Pittsburgh's veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and allowed Steelers running back Benny Snell Jr. to gain 113 yards on the ground. Offseason acquisition Blake Martinez, a former Green Bay linebacker, was the leading tackler for the Giants in the loss with 12, while cornerback Corey Ballentine had 9 tackles. The Giants sacked Ben Roethlisberger twice with one each by Leonard Williams and Dexter Lawrence.

Bears Cannot Fall Behind by Double-Digits Again
The Chicago Bears displayed an excellent second half of offense thanks to quarterback Mitch Trubisky remaining calm and engineering a fourth-quarter comeback. The Bears signal-caller threw fourth-quarter touchdowns to Jimmy Graham, Javon Wims and Anthony Miller. However, the Bears were helped when rookie D'Andre Swift of the Detroit Lions dropped a pass while wide open in the end zone that ended any hope of the Lions winning. Trubisky finished with 242 yards passing and three touchdowns. Anthony Miller caught four touchdown passes for 76 yards and one touchdown and Allen Robinson II added 74 yards receiving. The running game was led by David Montgomery with 64 yards.
Defensively, Chicago must improve against the Giants or Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley will have a field day. The Bears allowed Matthew Stafford to throw for 288 yards and gave up 138 yards on the ground. The Bears defensive stud, Khalil Mack made just two tackles and did not sack Stafford. Tashaun Gipson Sr, Roquan Smith, and Danny Trevathan each had seven tackles to lead the Bears.
